Crazy Breakfast Facts

After recently viewing part of Dateline on NBC Friday night, I was intrigued about marketing and advertising of not-so-healthy foods to children. Inspired by this, I decided to take a peek in my own pantry. Did you know that a one-cup serving of Cookie Crisp (my husband's cereal) and a three-quarter cup serving of Special K Cereal with Yogurt Clusters (my cereal) are the same calorie-wise? And a serving of Special K Vanilla Almond has more calories than Cookie Crisp? Special K has a higher percentage of vitamins and minerals, but if I'm already eating a bunch of other healthy food and taking vitamins, does it matter? Makes me wonder just how good Cookie Crisp tastes...and if the marketing ploys aren't geared towards making adults fat!

When you talk about food, I really wish I could swallow without making a funny face....

When you talk about food, I really wish I could punch you in the face...j/k.

I have a solution to all our food dilemmas: let's move to Europe. No, I really promise that will fix everything.

I like Catherine's solution. Count me in.

Ewwww...Cookie Crisp. Double ewwww...cereal with yogurt clusters. Triple ewwww...people who use water milk in their cereal.

Ooops. Was that milk comment put in black & white? It must be the allergy medicine typing.

Haahaaahaa! My word verification:downgw

I'm all for going to Europe. What's that stuff called? Tartaflatte? The "heart attack on a plate" that Catherine told us about. If I had that, I'd never have to eat cereal again!

Oh Jesus, tartiflette...make my mouth water...most brilliant idea ever.
