These are my dinky disgruntlements:
1. Summer's over. Even though it's still very hot, the kids are back at school and the days are very structured. I miss the unstructured free days of summer already!
2. The frustrating nature of this house of mine. Everything is off by one inch. How is one supposed to find a wall sconce to fit in a 3 and 1/4 inch space?
3. Polishing all the wood surfaces on Thursday and then being told on Friday, "The plaster is going to have to come down."
4. Ancient wallpaper that is the only thing holding the plaster together in the hallway.
5. Realizing that this plaster dust is the same as every other project involving plaster coming down--it gets into every nook and cranny. Including picture frames.
6. The linen closet troll that lives in my house. How does that tiny closet get into so much disarray?
7. Car repairs. Stupid, expensive car repairs.
8. Mosquitos. They've been out of control this week!
9. The last twelve pounds of baby weight. I know, I know. It's only been two months and it took nine months to put the weight (44 pounds!) on, and I should give myself time to get back in shape. I'm just eager to put on my favorite fall clothes when the weather cools off.

Just remember that, in some way, that house of yours is home to all of us. I can't wait to be a part of the love that fills those walls again.
(That's what makes all that plaster come crashing down! It's filled to bursting with love and mirth)!
