Eleven

It was the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month that the Great War officially ended. There are only a handful of those veterans left. Let's make sure, for all of the ones who sludged through muddy trenches, climbed onto bloody beaches, marched into steamy jungles, and struggled in sandy deserts, and also for ourselves, that we recall what today was originally all about.

I heard several people in my classes yesterday actually ask what the date was and I glared at them across the room as the teacher nonchalantly answered them.
...People shouldn't be allowed to be that ignorant.

Oooohhh. I think I may have beaten them all with sticks. Or my bare hands, because that level of ignorance is despicable. Good grief.
