It is good to have a clean kitchen sink, especially if you have to vomit. If you just can't dash fast enough to the bathroom...or if your son is in there peeing the Nile...
It would be bad to have to throw up on dishes in the sink.

I just kept thinking, "thank goodness I cleaned the sink last night."
I've thrown up in two kitchen sinks--one was clean, one was not. And the dirty sink left that icky, gaggy feeling worse than the one I get when I'm on my knees praying to the porcelain gods to let me just puke and get it over with.
