What's for Dinner?

I know you want to know what I'm making for dinner tonight.

Turkey breast, apple dumplings, smashed baked potatoes (with bacon and cheese) and green beans. Aren't you getting hungry?

Somebody's Hero

I picked up my daughter from school today and she ran into my arms, just flung herself at me. I got a load of hugs and kisses and she blurted out, "I love you mommy! You're my hero!"

I've still got a lump in my throat.

Conversations From the Back Seat

Runaway Kangaroo v. The Naked Leprechaun

Last month, on the ride home from mom and dad's, the kids had one of the most hilarious "conversations" I've ever listened to. The baby had fallen asleep. My other little guy was bored, so, my sweet girl offered to tell him a story. Without going into too many details, it was an exciting tale (that she made up by herself) of kangaroo adventures. At the end of the story, you would think that the boy would be all "wow" or "thanks, that was a great story." No. He says, out of nowhere, "I almost caught a leprechaun last St. Patrick's Day. I set a trap, but I only found his clothes--even his underwear--so he was naked when he got away."

I should probably scale back on supporting the children in their elaborate schemes.

Sunday Breakfast

Oh my gosh...I made THIS for breakfast this morning and now I just want to make (and eat) more of them. Ugh. Delicious. I cooked mine a little longer than she does, just because I like my yolks solid, but it was still divine. Yum.

A business proposition

Dad's started his business ordeal and has gotten it in full swing, and it's got me thinking..... How about we all go into something together? I have the perfect idea to:

Dress clothes that you can wash at home.
And dry too!

Of course, they won't be in ridiculous sizes either. We all know how hard it is to find a good pair of dress pants for ourselves without having to alter them in some form. Just think about it: We could solve our problems, JUST LIKE THAT!

Kudos

I'm giving a public shout out to my husband, who made dinner tonight AND promised to clean up. He cut the grass today, too. He moved more mulch around the edge of the property.

He just handed me the remote control.

Uh oh. He must be buttering me up for something...
